Will cook for cash --- High school seniors compete for culinary scholarships

Here's the full list of Arizona's senior culinary students who will compete for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to more than $100,000 from Arizona's Careers in Culinary Arts Program.

These students successfully completed a preliminary round at Paradise Valley High School's kitchens, making a composed salad and a (nearly) perfect rolled French omelet.

On March 18, they'll meet again to determine exactly who among them will receive $1,000 stipends for books or other culinary school necessities, and who will gain partial or full scholarships to culinary programs across the country, from small (such as Classic Cooking Academy) to large (Johnson & Wales, Culinary Institute of America and others).

For the final round, they'll be cooking an entrée (chicken chasseur) and a dessert (vanilla cream crepes with chocolate sauce).
